After a series of serious and gyaan posts, i decided to write something about whats happening in my life these days! I am on Week off. For people who dont know - I work in shifts. I start my month with a night shift for a week [6 days]. This is followed by afternoon shift [5 days] and then morning shift for the third week [7 days]. The fourth week is off for me and this 7 days leave is named as "Week Off".
Week off have always been boring for me. Yet I somehow look forward for this week every month. Maybe the lazybones in me gets too much aroused at the very thought of sleeping all day :-)
So how did I spent my days?
Sunday I had a night shift. Obviously Monday I din see sunlight! Alright geeks, dnt ask me where the sun was when i returned home, the morning after a night shift could be called "late night" and not "early morning" :)
I saw the trailer of Transporter 3 from office and I was dying to see the movie. I thought that before I watch the movie I should refresh my memory and hence I downloaded Transporter 1. Since it was getting downloaded,my net became a lil slow, so din feel like sitting in front of the monitor. Went to a friends place, a friend who shares similar interests. Every time we sit together, politics would become one of the subjects of conversation and his wife hates it :P But then, she is too good a person cos she makes sure than I dont starve :-) When ever i am at home, I would get timely meals :-) thnx to sagu and sagu. I call my friend and his wife "sakhave" mallu for "comrade". "sakhave" later on became short : "sagu" :)so thats about them. I had dinner and went back to my place. The movie was still getting downloaded. I checked my mails and browsed through the blogs. Ah, Scrawler din comment on my comment :(
Tuesday, I woke up early morning somewere around 12.30 pm.. Sun was too bright and there was no current :( Thankfully power was back as soon as I was done with my lunch. Transporter 1 has finally been saved. Watched the movie and started downloading Transporter 2. There was 1 mission to be completed this week: Cleaning the house ! Again the lazybones in me convinsed me to postpone the idea :-) Went for a small shopping. Came back, switched on my pc. Ah, i found some interesting mails.. ST, u guessed it right, its all about the hunt! :-) Spent the rest of the day at KM :-) Movie got downloaded by late evening. Watched it and then i switched over to blogs. In between I was online and chatted with few wonderful frenz. I always wanted to create a profile in facebook! Finally I got it done.
Wednesday, I put my alarm and woke up early. I was in the Cinema by 11 in the morning. There happen to be only two shows for Transporter 3. One at 11.30am and the other at 9.45 pm. Considering that its too cold at night, I thought 11.30 would be more reasonable! The movie was amazing as expected. The car, the chases, everything was mind blowing. Anyone who respects beautiful cars and amazing driving skills - go watch this movie. The feel that you get is beyond explanation. My bike sure went through the after effects. Some how I din see the gutters on my way back home :P Night was spent as usual - News, blogs, chat and mails.
Thursday, I went to take some prints of my photographs. Seems like my dad got only a set of passport size photographs of mine, that too taken when I was doing my graduation! He din have any snaps to be shown to my prospective future in-laws :) My friend, mentioned earlier :"sagu & sagu" picked me up from the studio and we went to some of his realtive's house. Long day, but met a few other fellow mallu families settles in Hyderabad. Came back at late evening and slept hard. We had a plan for friday :-)
Friday, woke up at 6 in the morning. We planned to go to Ramoji Film City. A small intro for people who havnt heard about it. Ramoji Film City (RFC) is the world’s largest integrated film studio complex at over 2,000 acres (8.1 km2) of land. It is also a popular tourism and recreation centre, containing both natural and artificial attractions. It is situated near Hayathnagar on Hyderabad - Vijayawada, NH9 highway, about 25 km from Hyderabad. Guinness World Records certifies Ramoji Film City as the World's largest Film Studio Complex. Ramoji Film City offers pre-production, production, and post-production resources. It offers over 500 set locations. There are many gardens, authentic sets, about 50 studio floors, a digital film facility, the support systems, outdoor locations, high-tech laboratories, etc. The Film City's infrastructure includes custom-designed locations & mock-ups, set construction, properties & costumes, shooting stages, cameras and equipment, audio post-production, digital-post-production/SFX as well as film processing. Twenty international films and forty Indian films can be produced simultaneously in the complex.
Thats for an introduction. I would talk more about the trip in my next post. Its gona be more of a photo post cos I have loadz of photos to be uploaded. Till then, take care. Have fun :)

WEll i too have never been to RFC.
Night shifts are fun at times. Only thing is it screws socialization and fooding time
aha, u liked it?
night shifts: it even screws your health big time..its good if we have it on a continuous basis. but shift change every week is horrible!
hii frnd....
good to know about your schedule...it was intresting as this is the first time to hear about the week off....
and about the RFC...i have been there too. i love the gardens there and the way they are maintained. in this busy and concrete world, you get to see the nature all around and feel its freshness....
will be waiting for the pics...!!!
night shift...?its horrible i guess...screws up your biological liife cycle...
and thnx for ur post..i too need to download transporter series... ;)
hope u are doing great..!!
Sawan saar..congrats! u finally back to ur old self..i can smell the freshness of ur first posts here:) Great going, mate..i'm happy for u:):)
All the best for ur 'Hunt' !!!
waiting for next post..with pics n all, wow!!
u dint take ur lil one to rfc :x :x
my my.. look at this.. proposal photographs :))
so do we get to see those photos where the dapper guy is all set to kill the girlies around :)
you work in different shifts in different weeks.. still lucky.. I do all shifts in a single day.. come to office at 11 and some times leave at 2 in night :(
@yamini: yeah. even i never hrd of this kinda schedule before :) seems that we are following the same schedule which the swiss guys followed for ages. they got a reason for this kinda schedule. they are the kinds who enjoy their life to the fullest. most of them got bikes and they go on trips every month. the trips would take almost a week to complete and they do this quite often and hence they designed the shift like this :P interesting , aint it? :)
@vinu: night shifts are fun till 2 or 3 in the morning. after that its gona be horrible :( advantages of night shifts: you dint have your boss around, no formal dress codes, the gym and the billiards table is all yours, you could read hell lotsa blogs :-), comparatively less work. wen i really compare the good and bad things bout a night shift, i guess its comin good :P
you love cars, dnt u? u get pretty good clarity stuff from bits torrent.. i bet, u wud love the movie.
@Vinnie the pooh : hey hey hey.. even i am feeling good after all those serious posts :) i am yet to upload the fotos. would do it soon. another challenge is that i cant put a picassa web album slide show inside the post. even if i can, i dont know how to do that.. not that great with html. thats one challenge i am facing right now.. lets see how it goes :) and thnx for ur wishes, but i am still confused :P
@divz: oh darlin, ill take u once, dnt worry. u havnt visited the place? its beautiful.
@ST: i am sure you got ur own collection of snaps with you.. remember we are passengers of the same boat :P the fotos are viewable only for girls and their parents :P
yeah, i kno i am lucky, guess why: we dnt have to stretch cos we dont have targets and projects. We work on real time situations and with an SLA of 15 minutes :) its more critical cos its real time but ou dnt have to slog for tht, you are ready to go the moment the next shift guys take over :P
Hmmm working shifts.... my fiance used to do that some time back... it really used to creep me out... no fixed time.. and all..
good thing u get a week off at the end of the month :)
have fun!!!
sawan - nah.. no collection here.. somehow I never liked the idea of going to a studio and pose for a photograph.. I manage with whatever vacation snaps I have :)) and this is one of the biggest arguement between me and dad :)
I agree on this target thing.. some times I wonder, who named this thing deadline.. he must be a very wise man.. coz this is really deadly :)
i knw how night shifts are!they completely turn ur system topsy turvy.
@Meher: ur fiance moved to a regular shift?? ah, hw i envy him :(
yeah, its good cos i can actually plan an outing :P
@ST: huh? u thought i went to a studio to clock a pic?? no way.. i hate it as much as u do, maybe more.. i had some digi pics, so i went there to take prints..
deadline: concept: if you dnt meet the deadline, you are dead :P
@Ria: you to have been there? i tell you, night shifts cut short you life atlst by 5 yrs :(
Sawan u work on shifts...wow! I hv never worked that way. I've always worked in a 8am-7pm kinda job..sometimes til 9pm yeah!
Nice to know u had a good n relaxing week off. Im taking some days off soon..yes again :):)
Keshi.
Best Of Luck For Hunting :P
sawan - couldnt agree more :)

@Scrawler: yeah, i think i need it nw :) thnx
@ST: :)
I saw Transporter 3 too...the movie is rocking :)
U r a brave person.. I mean working at a stretch for 3 weeks is too much.
woah getting married... congos..
deprived of sleep:) may god bless u..with good health..:)
@Harshitha: lol, its not 3 weeks at a stretch. We do get breaks in between. i day between night shifts and aftrnun shifts and 2 days between aftrnun shifts and morning shifts!
@swayam: long process girlie, have to like a grl, horoscopes have to match and families should like each other! its like if u like the girl, the horoscope never matches or vice versa :(
@crazyheart: thats the wish i need now :)
no Im not leaving blogville...just some days off from work :)
Keshi.
Hi Sawan,
How i wish i have a week off too : )
Too bad i work on normal office hours 8.30am till 5.30pm
All the best in finding your future companion : )
@Keshi: that soundz better :P
@Veni: Welcome here. Dont even wish that in your weirdest dreams. Here we envy people who come in general shifts. at least they have a life of humans! :( our health is screwed cos of this changing shifts. week off is good cos i could plan a vacation. but look at the side effects!
and for the companion search, thnx for your wishes. it would take time to find the right one, or maybe it wont. I sure am a lil scared :P
